Here are a few expressions I found that use either ‘home’ or ‘house’

I often talk in my communication and culture classes about how you can judge the importance or impact of something in a society by the number of vocabulary words that refer to it or expressions that reference it.

Home is big in western culture (others too, just happens that this class is about western culture).

This is not an exhaustive list, but it will give you a starting point:

My house is your house.

Home, sweet home.

Make yourself at home.

Home is where the heart is.

There’s no place like home.

Home away from homw.

“be at home”

Home is where you hang your hat.

A man’s home is his castle.

A house is not a home.
